Mesner Guetl in Rottach-Egern

Surprisingly good. Food and beer were good. Furniture a bit dated, but quite comfortable. Friendly staff.

1 visit in September 2020. 3 stars due to the great location with a view of the Tegernsee. The dish of the day was unfortunately no longer available, even though it was early evening or late afternoon. The portion of the alternative dish clearly laid out. The beverage service still has room for improvement, to put it diplomatically. 1/2 hour waiting for the 2nd drink, with 2 reminders for the staff.

During our short stay in Rottach-Egern, we went to this restaurant twice for dinner. In the main season you should make a reservation or be there in good time, otherwise the seats in the beer garden are gone. And the said beer garden ... it's a great place to sit. View of the Tegernsee with a cool blonde or an Aperol Spritz or or or ... Great! The waiter and the waitress were quick, nice and he also shone with fine dry humor. The food was really good. A little too little for me, but I'm also a gobball. But it was plenty for my wife and parents. In short: you can stop here without hesitation!

Waiter very friendly and accommodating. The food is lovingly and tastefully presented. The portion size made it easy to get full. We'll be back because this restaurant is one of the few recommendable - here in ROTTACH -EGERN. We ate in several restaurants and it was very embarrassing at times - which is what we were offered !!

I went to Mesner Gütl for dinner with my wife on Wednesday evening. We ate Wiener schnitzel and char Müllerin. It was just great and so was the service. We were definitely not here for the last time. Just keep going !! 👍👍

Dreadful. The wrong starter was served first. When the right one was served, it tasted like it was fresh from the can. The main course was swimming in the fat and already looked unsavory. I wouldn't even serve it to my dog. Nothing was cleared away. Neither the dishes from the previous one, nor the already mentioned "delicious" starter. When we were finally able to pay, we told the waiter that the food was unfortunately not tasty. He just shrugged his shoulders and said he would pass it on to the kitchen. I would not recommend anyone to eat there.

not reasonable ... if the terrace was half empty, 15 minutes until someone came; then 20 min. and 2 reminders waiting time until the first beer; The service staff commented: 'Tiepisch guests, sit for 10 minutes and then say they wait 20 minutes'. Place order for food and only the third dish was still available ... but that was not said immediately but after about 10 minutes ... unbelievable and in the great location.

Great customer service. If something does not actually correspond to the customer's wishes, such as the quality of the meat, we work here in a very accommodating and customer-oriented manner. Great lake view, great beer garden.

We wanted to sit outside, but had to take a seat in the restaurant. Although there was enough space outside. Apparently they were too lazy to prepare the tables for the guests. Seated in the restaurant, we had to wait over 1 hour for our food. In addition, we were not told that a seat was vacant outside. The food was mediocre and completely overpriced. Probably a surcharge for the beautiful location on the lake. No recommendation.

It's really worth waiting 10 minutes longer here. The dishes taste extremely good. The service is also very attentive and friendly.

Cozy Bavarian restaurant with good service. We only waited 15 minutes for our food. The price-performance ratio is not right for the grill plate. For 24 € the meat quantities were very manageable.

Good location and large beer garden. Unfortunately there was a lunch break so we could only have a drink. Service was okay; Latte macchiato was served in the "Havana cocktail glass";)

The first two dishes that I had chosen were no longer available. I was only told that after everything had been ordered and the menu cards had already been cleared away. A small side salad came in advance with an artificial industrial yogurt dressing. The requested degree of cooking of my onion roast was confirmed by the service lady with "medium". The roast was, however, completely fried. I also criticized this accordingly. Except for a terse "apology", the staff did not respond. I was very disappointed and said so too. Unfortunately there was no will to see that I was still a little satisfied.

The food was delicious. Kudos to the kitchen. The service was also very friendly. Great praise here too. But unfortunately I have to say that we were not satisfied today. I had to wait 1 1/2 hours for my pikeperch fillet. I understand the shortage of staff and the current situation. Many guests were annoyed today due to the long waiting times. The boss should react personally, address the guests and also compensate the guests a little. Despite the anger, I wish the team continued success in the future.

Traditional tavern with rustic ambience without Rottach usual ChiChi like shrimp or Angus beef, but with Schnitzel, Kasspatzn and Weißwurst. Anyone looking for Bavarian cuisine in Rottach will find it here. Food was delicious, rich and reasonably priced. And that with SeeBlick and friendly service. Maybe nothing for the big-headed, but the average tourist with family feels good!

Were there just before kitchen, but still got a super delicious food and it was incredibly fast. The portions are very generous, the service really nice and the ambience is comfortable & partly with a romantic lake view. Together with the fair prices, the restaurant is really highly recommended!

The ambience is amazing. Getting a table outside with a direct view of the Tegernsee in summer is a real treat for the eyes alone. The stomach doesn't have to suffer either, the food is really great. The only thing that is urgently needed is a lot of patience. The waiters make an overwhelmed or absent-minded impression and just in the time we were there, 3 couples got up again because they were simply not served.

A lovely traditional Bavarian restaurant with friendly staff and good traditional food. Unfortunately they decided to show a group of 6 teenage boys to my lady and I's romantic dinner for 2 instead of asking the boys to wait or comeback or give us a different smaller table. A very odd thing to do...:/

I had a decent Cordon Bleu there, but it was quite expensive. The price/quality ratio is not good.
